Update: Rainfall warning ended for part of HRM, in effect for parts of N.S.

There could be a lot of heavy rain this afternoon for areas of northeastern Nova Scotia.

A rainfall warning has ended for Halifax County-east of Porters Lake and Guysborough County but it remains in effect for Pictou and Antigonish Counties.

The forecaster says between 40 and 60 mm could fall by this evening, or even higher amounts locally.

Environment Canada says to be prepared for heavy downpours and flash flooding.
