RCMP investigating plaque thefts in Pictou County

RCMP are investigating the theft of three metal plaques from two separate locations in Pictou County.

Officers first responded on March 20 to a report that a large brass plaque had been stolen from a building on Haliburton Road during the overnight hours.

A few days later, on March 23, police were called to the intersection of Churchville Loop and Churchville Road, where two bronze plaques had been removed from a stone monument. Investigators believe those plaques were taken sometime in the past week.

No arrests have been made and the investigations are ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pictou County District RCMP at 902-485-4333.
