Red Cross ending online application option for $500 financial aid

If you need financial assistance after the wildfires, you have until 8pm tonight to apply online.

The Canadian Red Cross says is ending the option to register online for the one-time $500 emergency aid from the government.

You can still call the number between 8a.m. and 8p.m. 7 days a week or by visiting the teams in person at the temporary sites.

The sites are in Halifax at the 4-pad complex on 61 Gary Martin Drive and in Shelburne at the Community Centre on 63 King Street.
