Richmond Co. drug bust suspect has case adjourned

A man charged in relation to a drug bust in Richmond Co. is scheduled to return to court in May.

RCMP say officers searched a home in West Arichat in September.

They say they seized cocaine, hash, marijuana, cutting agent, cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Jonathan Roger Vance, 25, faces a count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and three weapons-related charges.

Vance was expected for election-and-plea in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Tuesday; instead, the hearing was adjourned until May 27.

Police say a woman was also arrested in the case, but was not charged.
