An emergency department in the Quad Coutnies is temporarily closing unexpectedly Thursday night.
Health officials say the ER at St. Anne Centre in Arichat will be closing at 7 p.m. Thursday; it will reopen at 7 a.m. Friday.
They say the closure is needed as a registered nurse is unavailable for the shift.
You can call 911 in the case of an emergency or go to the nearest open ER; you can call 811 for non-emergency health advice from a registered nurse.
