Travelling through the Port Hastings rotary might take longer than usual.
The work to transform the rotary into a roundabout starts today
The job is expected to be completed by February 2022.
Department of Transportation officials say there will be various times that road closures will be required but most work will take place off the road.
People are asked to use caution while travelling though the work areas and plan for the possibility of delays.
