Sentencing decision delayed in Richmond Co. drug case

A suspect charged in relation to a drug bust in Richmond Co. has had his case adjourned.

RCMP say officers searched a home in West Arichat in Sept. 2018.

They say they seized cocaine, hash, marijuana, cutting agent, cash and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Police charged Jonathan Roger Vance, 26, with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and three weapons-related counts.

Vance pleaded guilty during an election-and-plea hearing in May; one of the weapons counts was withdrawn in July.

His sentencing hearing took place in October; the judge in the case was expected to deliver a decision in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Wednesday.

Instead, the case was adjourned until Feb. 4; it was also adjourned in November.
