Some National Parks will open June 1

It was announced on Thursday (May 14) that starting June 1, the Government of Canada will gradually resume some operations at certain national parks, national historic sites, historic waterways, and national marine conservation areas. The closure has been in place since March.

 

Camping at National Parks will remain prohibited until at least June 21 and group activities & public events are not allowed until further notice.

All existing camping reservations set to take place prior to June 21, will be refunded in full.

At this point, no information is available for specific National Parks. The administrator on the Parks Canada Facebook page has been advising that people check the website of the park you want to visit prior to making plans.
