NSCC students are back in class Monday.
Strait Area Campus Principal Vivek Saxena says there won’t be nearly as many students on campus as usual.
Saxena tells The Hawk any class that can be held virtually is.
“Some of the programs we are offering totally online, like the business program, IT program,” he says. “Those programs, totally, will be offered through our online platform.”
Saxena says even their skilled trades programs are going to be doing their in-class component online.
However, he says those students will be on campus for their practical components.
“There are some programs, like our trades programs, marine programs where the students will be required to do the shop work.”
He says their plan is to only have students on campus when absolutely necessary, while still maintaining industry training standards.
