STFX cancels in person classes due to COVID concerns

StFX University has suspended all in person classes for the rest of the day after a case of COVID-19 was confirmed on campus.

President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Andy Hakin says that Public Health told University officials to expect more positive cases.

Hakin points out that over 95% of the campus population is vaccinated and asks that anyone who is not fully vaccinated and has been in close contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19, to isolate immediately and get tested whether symptoms are present or not.

Anyone who is experiencing symptoms can book a PCR test at a local COVID-19 testing centre.
