StFX responds to video of men on ambulance

If you’re outraged seeing a pair of men climbing on an ambulance at StFX you’re not alone.

A video showing the two climbing on top of the vehicle while a crowd cheers them on is facing huge backlash online.

The province’s paramedics’ union, IUOE Local 727, says it was a reckless act that could have put the men, the paramedics and their patient in danger.

They’re calling for the university to punish the pair, but it’s not clear if the men are students.

Vice-President, Students Elizabeth Yeo said they are aware of the video.

She calls the footage shocking, disappointing, and totally unacceptable.

Below is a message sent to the campus community by StFX Vice-President, Students, Elizabeth Yeo, regarding video footage…

Yeo said they have begun an investigation, and, if the men are found to be students at the university, they will face disciplinary action.
