Nova Scotia Health Authority officials say an emergency department in the Quad Counties will be closing for 25 hours.
Officials say the ER at Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston will be closed at 7 a.m. Friday; it will reopen at 8 a.m. Saturday.
They say the reason for the closure is due to unavailability of physicians to cover the shift.
You’re asked to go to the nearest open ER or call 911 in the case of an emergency; for non-emergency health advice from a registered nurse, you can call 811.
