Strang says COVID-19 cases at StFX is an “evolving situation”

22 new COVID-19 cases across the province.

18 in the Central Zone and four Northern Zone cases.

Nova Scotia Health Authority labs completed 2,783 tests on Monday.

The province has 147 active cases of COVID-19.

11 people are in the hospital, that number includes four in the ICU.

After a busy weekend at StFX, Nova Scotia’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Robert Strang says there’s cases showing up at the university.

“A cluster of cases associated with Saint Francis Xavier University was reported last night and we expect additional cases in the coming days.”

Strang says Public Health is working closely with the university to understand and manage the evolving situation.
