Strang says it isn’t time to be looking for loopholes

The province has reported 26 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 173 cases provincewide.

Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Robert Strang made the announcement at a press conference Wednesday.

Dr. Strang took a moment to chastise people he said are looking for loopholes.

“If you’re not happy with the situation we’re in, and what you need to do, and the limitations, well the quickest way to relive that pressure is to do what we’re doing now and do it well,” he said. “Now is not the time to be thinking about how you can get out and continue [your] usual activities; now is the time for us to stay close to home, minimise our interactions with others, protect each other.”

Dr. Strang said it’s the duty of all of us to do what we’re asked, for the safety of everyone.
