N.S. lifeguards not recommending swimming as Erin brings big waves

Hurricane Erin is sailing well off our shores, but big waves are in the forecast.

The Nova Scotia Lifesaving Society says the waves will increase in size and intensity through the weekend off the Eastern coast.

They say lifeguards are not recommending swimming at beaches, you may see supervision flags crossed behind lifeguard chairs.

If you’re going to surf, they recommend checking conditions and staying within your abilities.
