Teen arrested following Antigonish thefts has case adjourned

A suspect facing multiple charges in relation to thefts at the mall in Antigonish is scheduled to return to court in December.

RCMP say they received reports of a man who fled on foot following two separate thefts at Antigonish Market Square in August.

They say officers, with the help of a police dog, arrested a teen hiding in a grass field near Hwy. 4.

Isaac MacLellan, 18, of Antigonish has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and two breaches.

MacLellan, whose case opened in August, was scheduled for election-and-plea in Antigonish Provincial Court Wednesday; instead, the hearing was adjourned until Dec. 5.

It was also adjourned in October.
