Teen arrested following Antigonish thefts scheduled to return to court

A suspect facing multiple charges in relation to thefts at the mall in Antigonish is expected back in court Wednesday.

RCMP say they received reports of a man who fled on foot following two separate thefts at Antigonish Market Square in August.

They say officers, with the help of a police dog, arrested a teen hiding in a grass field near Hwy. 4.

Isaac MacLellan, 18, of Antigonish has been charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 and two breaches.

MacLellan, whose case opened in August, is scheduled for election-and-plea in Antigonish Provincial Court after the hearing was adjourned in October and November.
