Two ER closures will be in place at Health facilities in the Quad Counties.
Officials with the Nova Scotia Health Authority say the emergency department at the Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston will close at 7 a.m. on New Year’s Eve and will remain closed New Year’s Day and re-open at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Also the St. Anne Centre Emergency Department in Arichat will close at 9am on New Year’s Eve and will reopen on New Year’s Day at 8am.
They say physician unavailability to cover the shift is the reason for the closure.
You’re asked to go to another ER or call 911 with a medical emergency; you can call 811 for any non-urgent issues.
