A new trend online has gained lots of attention and maybe it’s something you’ve heard of before! The Bucket Of Doom! They say this is the best DIY trap for mosquitos!
So what is The Bucket Of Doom? It’s basically a trap to kill mosquito’s larvae before they hatch. They don’t kill the adults but it can greatly cut down on reproduction!
Here’s what you’ll need…
A bucket (a standard 5‑gallon one works best)
Water (rainwater is great, but tap water works too)
Leaves, grass, or yard clippings
Mosquito dunks ( available at most hardware or garden stores)
Instructions
Fill the bucket with water
About ¾ full is perfect.
Add some yard debris
Toss in leaves, grass, or sticks.
Drop in a mosquito dunk
This releases a bacteria that kills mosquito larvae.
Place the bucket outside
Put it in a shady spot, near bushes or trees where mosquitoes hang out.
