Thefts suspect has case adjourned

A man facing several charges following four separate vehicle thefts, that started in Inverness Co. and ended in Colchester Co., has had his case adjourned.

RCMP say a car was stolen from a repair shop in Port Hastings, then someone in the same car left without paying for gas in Port Hood in September.

They say they were also called to two reports of a suspicious person in the West Lake Ainslie area, and another vehicle theft at Inverness Raceway.

Police say Truro officers responded to a call of an intoxicated man trying to get into cars in the parking lot of a car dealership in the town the next day.

Eric Gordon Fraser, 31, has been charged with five counts in the case- theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5,000, mischief under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and a breach.

He’s expected for a show cause hearing in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Feb. 3.

It was also adjourned in October, November, three times in December, and again three times in Janurary.
