Throne speech to start legislature’s spring sitting

The Nova Scotia Legislature will sit Tuesday to kick-off the first full sitting in almost a year.

Only a handful of MLA’s from each party will be permitted to attend in person while the rest of the members will join online.

The sitting will be held using a hybrid model to allow for government business to take place while following COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

It will be the first session under new Premier Iain Rankin.

The Liberal government will also introduce a budget later in the sitting which will provide a clear picture of the provinces finances, a full year into the COVID-19 pandemic.
