Timeless tracks-Spiderwebs

We’re in the 90s this time around and in 1995, No Doubt released their album called Tragic Kingdom. This was their third studio album and it has a lot of hits.

Now, No Doubt, of course, was the band with the lead singer Gwen Stefani, who went on to be very popular by herself as well. Tom Demound’s on guitar, Tony Cannell is on bass, and Adrian Young on drums, as well as Eric Stefani, that’s Gwen’s brother, on piano and keyboards. They formed in California in 86, but this album was one of their biggest and had the most chart-topping hits.

The first track on the album, Spiderwebs, written by Gwen Stefani and Tony and produced by a guy who you might know from the 1984 hit Break My Stride, Matthew Wilder. He actually produced the whole album. He did a great job.

The song’s about a girl frustrated because of annoying guy who keeps calling her and she doesn’t really want anything to do with him. Now, Gwen and Tony were actually a couple for seven years, and many of the songs in this album are about their breakup. This one, though, apparently is not about Tony.
