Two dead after collision on Hwy. 101 in Kings County

Two people are dead following a collision on Highway 101 in Kingston.

The accident happened on Tuesday, July 14, around 3 in the afternoon. Kings District RCMP, fire services, and EHS responded to the report of a Kia Rio and tractor trailer that had collided.

The driver of the Rio, a 75-year-old woman from Middleton, and the passenger, a 28-year-old man from Middleton, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 33-year-old man from Lawrencetown, Annapolis County, was treated at the scene by EHS.

Hwy. 101 was closed for several hours while an RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the collision.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, including those with dashcam footage, is asked to contact Kings District RCMP at 902-679-5555.
