Two dead following Victoria Co. crash

RCMP say officers are on the scene of a fatal crash in Victoria Co.

They say police, fire, and EHS responded to a two-vehicle collision on Hwy. 105 at exit 8, near Baddeck, just after 8:00 a.m.

Police say officers found a heavily damaged car and a transport truck.

RCMP say a 60-year-old man, the driver of the car, and a 57-year-old woman, the passenger of the car, both from Inverness Co., died at the scene; the 41-year-old driver of the transport truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

They say officers are investigating, and Hwy. 105 will be closed in both directions for a number a hours.
