Two stunting charges within 24 hours in Antigonish Co.

RCMP say they charged a pair of drivers for stunting in less than 24 hours in Antigonish Co.

They say officers clocked a 48-year-old man travelling 132 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Hwy. 337 Sunday afternoon- he’s been charged with stunting.

Police say they also stopped a vehicle going 159 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on Hwy. 104 in Monastery shortly before noon Monday.

They say they charged a 19-year-old in that case with stunting.

Both drivers had their vehicles seized and their licenses have been suspended for seven days.

The fine for stunting is $2, 422.50.
