UARB invokes interrupter clause to lower pump prices

The price of gas has fallen in a big way.

Members of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board invoked their interrupter clause to lower prices ahead of Friday’s regular price adjustment due to significant shifts in market prices for gas and diesel.

Gas prices fell 10.5 cents at midnight; the new range in the Quad Counties now sits below $1 a litre, between 96.5 cents on the low end and 99.5 cents on the high end.

Diesel dropped nearly the same- 10.3 cents a litre; the new range is 92.9 cents on the low end, and 95.9 cents on the high end.

UARB members last used their interrupter clause to lower prices six cents in June.
