Water disruption planned in Inverness to connect new daycare

Residents in part of Inverness should prepare for a day without water Wednesday, as work continues on a new daycare under construction in the community.

The Municipality of Inverness County says water service will be shut off from 8 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m.

The affected areas are Campbell Street, Veterans Memorial Court and Celtic Drive.

Residents in those areas should make necessary arrangements before the water is shut off.

Traffic impacts expected
The work could also affect traffic in the area.

The Municipality says residents and motorists may encounter local traffic disruptions, including possible street closures. Where streets are closed, local traffic access will be maintained where possible.

You are asked to be aware of the construction activity and allow more time when travelling through the affected area.

Updates will be posted on the municipality’s website and Facebook page.

The Municipality of Inverness County apologizes for the inconvenience the disruption may cause and is thanking residents for their cooperation and understanding while the water connection work is completed.
