Weather conditions lead to another storm day

It’s a snow day in the Quad Counties.

Officials with the Strait Regional Centre for Education have cancelled classes at all schools due to weather conditions; it’s a complete system shutdown, meaning all SRCE buildings are closed for the day, so support staff are not required to report to work.

It’s the eighth region-wide storm day of the 2018-19 school year.

Classes have also been cancelled at Ecole Acadienne de Pomquet, Ecole Beau-Port in Arichat, Waycobah First Nation School, Mi’kmawey School, Allan Lafford High and within the Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education.

The NSCC Strait Area Campus and Wagmatcook Learning Centre are closed as well; StFX has delayed opening until 5 p.m.

You can find a complete list of cancellations here.
