There’s a closure at a local emergency department Friday.
The ER at Guysborough Memorial Hospital shuts down at 7 p.m., re-opening at 7 a.m. Saturday; similar closures are scheduled for Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, there are a pair of weekend closures affecting the Victoria Co. Memorial Hospital‘s emergency department in Baddeck; that ER will be closed between 4 p.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Provincial health officials say the reason for all those closures is a lack of physician coverage.
