Wind warning for eastern N.S.

You may want to bring your inflatable Santa and other outdoor Christmas decorations inside for a bit in eastern Nova Scotia, including the quad counties.

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for Guysborough, Antigonish, Richmond, Inverness, Cape Breton and Victoria counties.

Southeasterly gusts could reach a maximum of 90 km/hr Thursday afternoon and evening.

A Les Suêtes wind warning is in effect for Inverness County (Mabou and north), where winds could gust up to 150 km/h.

The forecaster advises that such strong winds could damage roof shingles, toss loose objects or break tree branches. Power outages may occur.
