Woman charged in Inverness Co. bust pleads guilty

A woman arrested following a vehicle stop in Inverness Co. has entered a guilty plea in the case.

RCMP say tips from members of the public led to the stop in Waycobah in Nov 2017.

They say they seized a firearm, oxycodone and drug paraphernalia.

Police charged Theodore Basque, 45, and Doris Gould, 28, with trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The pair from Waycobah, whose case opened in court in December, had an election-and-plea hearing in Wagmatcook Provincial Court Wednesday.

Gould pleaded guilty to the possession for the purpose of trafficking count, and had the trafficking charge withdrawn; she’s scheduled for sentencing Nov. 28.

Basque’s charges were withdrawn.
