Women arrested in Inverness Co. drug bust expected for trial

A suspect in a drug bust in Inverness Co. is scheduled to return to Wednesday.

Rachel Phillips, 46, of We’koqma’q faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and cultivation of marijuana.

Phillips, who entered not guilty pleas in August, is scheduled to stand trial in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court after her trial was adjourned in November.

RCMP say officers seized marijuana, oxycodone tablets, drug paraphernalia and cash when they searched a We’koqma’q home in Feb. 2016.
