‘YourHealthNS’ app users can now get appointment reminders

The province is making it easier to remember your medical appointments.

If you have the ‘YourHealthNS’ app, you can sign up for text messages and push notifications.

It applies to most appointments through Nova Scotia Health and the IWK.

CEO Scott McKenna says the app helps reduce barriers to care and supports patients in managing their health.

You can add your appointments by searching in the records section of the app.

Some appointments are not available, like those with independent providers, clinics that use paper records or cancer care appointments.

The goal is to reduce missed appointments.
