Man arrested in Inverness Co. drug bust pleads guilty

A suspect charged in relation to a drug bust in Inverness Co. has changed his plea.

Police say officers seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Hwy. 105 in Port Hastings in August.

Martin Julian, 39, from Paq’tnkek and Ivan Isadore, 31, of Waycobah were charged of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

The men, who pleaded not guilty in January, were scheduled to stand trial in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday.

Instead, Julian changed his plea to guilty; he’s expected back in court for sentencing Sept. 24.

The Crown called no evidence against Isadore; his charge was dismissed.
