RCMP are asking the public to help identify a suspect following an incident at a business in Port Hawkesbury.
Police say Friday at 5:15 p.m. a 9-year-old boy was approached by an unknown man in the bathroom of a business on Paint St.
They say the man forced the boy into the bathroom stall, locked the door and then attempted to pull the pants of the boy down.
RCMP say the boy was able to get away.
Police say the man fled the scene and employees attempted to stop the man from leaving the business before the police arrived.
They say the suspect is a white man in his 40s or 50s and stands at about 5-foot-8.
RCMP say he has dark hair and was wearing a blue hat, sunglasses, a red shirt and beige shorts.
