The warden of Antigonish Co. says physician recruitment efforts are going very well.
Owen McCarron says town and county officials sat in on three interviews with physicians in two weeks.
After February’s regular municipal council meeting Tuesday night, McCarron said he and an Antigonish town councillor had the chance to showcase the area.
“It was a good opportunity for us to highlight some of the things in Antigonish town and county, and certainly propose why this is a good spot to set up shop.”
McCarron said they’re being proactive with recruitment; they’re not trying to fill any specific spots at this point.
