The Dalbrae Dragons are hosting the NSSAF Div. 2 boys high school hockey regional playoffs at the Al MacInnis Sports Centre in Port Hood.
All five teams from the Cape Breton West High School Hockey League are taking part- the host Dragons, the SAERC Saints, the Richmond Academy Hurricanes, the Inverness-Baddeck Academy Rebels and the Eskasoni Warriors.
Richmond Academy and Eskasoni open the tournament at 4:30 p.m., the game between SAERC and Inverness-Baddeck Academy scheduled for at 6 p.m. has been cancelled, and Dalbrae takes on Eskasoni at 7:30 p.m.
Round robin play resumes Friday, and wraps up Saturday; the top four teams advance to the semi-finals Sunday afternoon, with the championship game Sunday night.

Antigonish’s Landyn Pitts, Kara and Ella MacLean and Team Nova Scotia women’s hockey team will play for a chance to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta.
Nova Scotia (0-2-1) takes on the Northwest Territories (2-1-0) in the qualification round.
Game time is 8:30 p.m.
The winner advances to the quarterfinals to face Team Quebec Thursday night.
The Halifax Mooseheads host the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The Mooseheads (44-12-3), winners of seven straight and 11 of the last 12, are third in the 18-team league with 91 points, six points behind Drummondville for second, and four points ahead of fourth-place Baie-Comeau; they’re ranked sixth in the country.
The Titan (7-47-5) are last with 19 points.
It’s the ninth and final game between the Maritimes Division teams; Halifax has won the first eight.
Puck drop at Scotiabank Centre is 7 p.m.
