Warden looks forward to working with new MP

The Warden of the Municipality of the County of Richmond says he’s looking forward to working with the region’s new MP.

Mike Kelloway was elected to the Cape Breton-Canso seat in last week’s federal election.

Warden Brian Marchand says they haven’t spoken to him yet, but they’re looking forward to it.

“It will be good to sit down and meet with him and see exactly what his vision is for our section, and all of Cape Breton,” he says. “We’re going to be doing some work in the Arichat/Petit-de-Grat sewage treatment system, so we’ll definitely be looking for some money and a helping hand for that.”

Marchand says the new MP is very busy, so they’ll sit down with him when they can.
