Mulgrave warning truckers about dangers of Aulds Cove intersection

Mulgrave’s Mayor says they’re trying to spread the word about a dangerous intersection leading into their community.

Ralph Hadley says they still haven’t gotten a satisfying answer from the province, so now they’re reaching out to other organisations impacted by the intersection.

Hadley tells The Hawk they’re getting in touch with Antigonish Co. Councillors and have ordered the CAO to contact some other organisations.

“Trucks are going in the wrong lane turning into the Big Stop… She’s going to draft a letter up and send it to the trucker’s associations to let them know that there is a problem there,” he says. “That’s all we can write, put more pressure on municipal council, and on the Minster of Highways to do something about it before somebody gets hurt.”

Hadley says the more people know, the more likely NSTIR will be to act.
