Annapolis Co. man facing slew of charges in historical sexual assault case

An Annapolis County man is facing a slew of charges in a historical sexual assault case.

RCMP say it stems from an investigation that started in October 2025 after receiving a report of historical sexual assaults and physical abuse.

Three victims were then identified, two who were youth at the time, between 1988 and 2002 in Digby and Annapolis Counties. The man knows all three.

The 58-year-old suspect is facing 21 charges including three counts of assault, six counts of sexual assault and two counts of forceable confinement.

His first court appearance was on May 13 in Digby. He was released on conditions and is due to reappear on June 30.

Investigators believe there may be more victims.

If anyone has information you are asked to call RCMP at 902-245-2579 or Crime Stoppers.
