Arichat facade sidewalk tender closing soon

The tender for Arichat’s revamped sidewalk will close soon, paving the way for the rest of Arichat’s facade project.

The municipality’s warden says they hope to have the project underway soon and completed by the fall.

After Thursday’s Regular Municipal Council Meeting, Warden Brian Marchand said some work on the project has already begun.

“There’s at least one business that has made some upgrades and the tender has gone out for the sidewalk,” he said. “But all businesses along the route joined into this facade program.”

Marchand said the sidewalk tender closes on Sunday.

He said he hopes to have the project underway soon and completed by the fall.
