Beach Report for August 26th

It’s a beautiful day to hit the coast, with lots of sunshine and light winds across the region.

In Port Hood, the air and water are both sitting at 21 degrees. There’s a calm west wind, no surf, and a mix of sun and cloud.

Inverness is a little warmer, with the air and water both at 23. A light northeast breeze is creating a bit of chop on the water, but otherwise conditions are great.

Bayfield is one of the warmest spots today with an air temperature of 25. The water is 21, there’s a calm north wind, and the ocean is nice and flat.

It’s a similar story at Pomquet, where it’s 25 degrees with 21-degree water, calm north winds, and no surf.

At Point Michaud, the air is 23 and the water is a cooler 18 degrees. There’s a light southwest wind and about 0.4 metres of surf rolling in, making it the best spot for anyone looking for a few waves.

Overall, calm conditions and warm temperatures make for a great beach day wherever you’re headed
