Organizers of the Celtic Colours International Festival have unveiled their 2019 line-up.
The 23rd Celtic Colours event features 52 concerts spread across nine days in October.
Dawn Beaton, the festival’s artistic director, tells The Hawk there’s a little bit of everything for everyone.
“There’s programming for folks that are older, in-between, and just starting,” she says. “We have a responsibility, as a festival, to always encourage the next generation to take up the mantle and celebrate their culture.”
The festival opens with The Chieftains and Ashley MacIsaac at Centre 200 in Sydney Oct. 11, and wraps up with Beolach and Breabach at the Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre Oct. 19.
Tickets go on sale July 9.
