Officials with the Nova Scotia Health Authority have announced more local emergency departments are shutting down temporarily.
The ER at the Victoria Co. Memorial Hospital in Baddeck will be closed from 6 p.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The Strait Richmond Hospital’s ER in Evanston will be closed from 6 a.m. Wednesday until 8 a.m. Thursday.
The Saint Anne Centre Emergency Department in Arichat will be closed from 7 p.m. Monday to 7 a.m. Tuesday.
Officials say the reason for the closures is lack of physician coverage in Baddeck and Evanston, and a lack of nursing coverage in Arichat.
You’re asked to go to another emergency room or call 911 with a medical emergency; you can call 811 for any non-urgent issues.
