Police say one person is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Antigonish Co.
They say it happened on Hwy. 7 in Saltsprings at 4:20 p.m. Thursday.
RCMP say officers, paramedics and firefighters all responded; no information on the victim has been released at this point.
They say a collision analyst was called in; Hwy. 7 between Saltsprings and Lochaber was shut down in both directions for several hours.
Drivers were asked to use either Hwy. 316 through Goshen or Addington Forks Rd. as an alternate route.
