Firefighters, police respond to Port Hastings fire

Emergency responders have been called to a fire in Port Hastings.

Members of the Port Hastings and Port Hawkesbury Volunteer Fire Departments and RCMP responded to the fire at the old Norvon building along Hwy. 4 just before 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Fire officials say they were at the scene for roughly two-and-a-half hours.

They say there was minimal damage.

Police had reduced traffic along the double-lane highway to one lane in both directions.
