Central Nova MP Sean Fraser will be taking time away following the death of his newborn daughter.
In a statement released Wednesday, Fraser said his newborn daughter, Ruth Caroline Burton Fraser, has died.
He said he will be taking time away from his parliamentary duties and constituency office to be with his family.
He said he will not be able to attend meetings or community events and does not expect to take his seat in the House of Commons until the session resumes in the new year.
