A Port Hood man has been elected the 2nd Vice President of the Canadian Federation of Agriculture.
Chris van den Heuvel was elected into the position yesterday.
van den Heuvel is a past president of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture and the current Inverness/Victoria County Federation President.
He says to be excited about the position would be an understatement.
van den Heuvel and his wife Karen are partnered with their son on a farm in Port Hood.
They milk 60 cows on their 4th generation dairy and beef farm.
