The Antigonish Rural League playoffs resume at the Antigonish Arena.
The County Outlaws take on the Heatherton Warriors at 7 p.m.; the St. Croix Angels play the Pleasantdale Panthers at 8:30 p.m.
Heatherton and Pleasantdale jumped out to 3-0 leads in their respective best-of-seven, first-round series; the Outlaws and St. Croix stayed alive with game four wins March 9.
Games five in both series- if necessary- will be played Saturday night.
The winner of each series will meet in the league final.
The province’s two Quebec Major Junior Hockey League teams play the first of back-to-back games to close out the regular season.
St. Andrews’ Declan Smith and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles visit the Acadie-Bathurst Titan at 7 p.m.
The Screaming Eagles (38-22-6), who snapped a two-game losing streak, are seventh in the 18-team league with 82 points, three points behind Charlottetown for sixth, and a point ahead of Moncton and Chicoutimi, the two teams tied for eighth; the Titan (8-52-6) are last with 22 points.
Cape Breton has won five of the first six games between the teams, who meet again in Bathurst Saturday afternoon.
The Halifax Mooseheads host the Saint John Sea Dogs at Scotiabank Centre at 7 p.m.
The Mooseheads (48-15-3), winners of three of their last four, are fourth with 99 points, a point behind Baie-Comeau for third, and are ranked eighth in the country; the Sea Dogs (13-48-5) are 17th with 31 points.
Halifax, who has won the first seven games in the eight-game season series, hosts Charlottetown in their regular season finale Saturday afternoon.
