The Halifax Mooseheads open their Quebec Major Junior Hockey League semi-final series on the road when they visit the Drummondville Voltigeurs.
The Mooseheads (49-15-4), who finished the regular season third in the 18-team league with 102 points, defeated Quebec and Moncton to advance to the third round; the Voltigeurs (52-13-3), who were second with 107 points, beat Gatineau and Sherbrooke to get through.
The teams split the two-game season series.
Game time is 8:30 p.m.
The series remains in Drummondville for game two Saturday night.
The other QMJHL semi-final between River Denys’ Colten Ellis and the Rimouski Oceanic and Beaver Meadow’s Ryan MacLellan and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies opens in Rouyn-Noranda.
